Belle Isle is a small island in Richmond's James River that has been a POW camp, quarry, and hydroelectric plant. It now is a popular recreational area with trails and river access near the derelict buildings.
I'm continually interested in the ways people experience the changes in man-made things over time. In four movements, I explored ways to awaken existing site conditions and create new opportunities to interact with the place.
